Bishop Emeritus John Charles Odur Kami has raised alarm over the increasing trend of men neglecting their roles in family life, a situation he believes is eroding societal values and the proper upbringing of children.
Speaking at a centenary family celebration in Dokolo District, the retired clergyman lamented the lack of male involvement in their households, describing it as a major contributor to the challenges facing families today.
He further highlighted how this neglect affects the moral development of children, noting that many fathers fail to set an example worth emulating.
Rev. Odur who asked wives to be respectful and accommodative to the comfort of their husband, also connected the rise in criminal activity in rural trading centers to this lack of parental responsibility. END
