Kasese Municipal Member of Parliament Hon. Ferigo Kambale has confirmed a postponement of today’s meeting with the Uganda’s Premier, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabanja about the possibility of reactivating the services of Kilembe Mines Hospital.
Nabanja had invited three legislators from Kasese including Hon.Ferigo Kambale, Hon.Gideon Mujungu, Hon.Florence Kabugho, Minister of Health Dr.Ruth Aceng and PS Dr.Diana Atwine for a meeting in her office over the issue of reactivating services to Kilembe Mines Hospital.
Hon. Ferigo told this Radio on phone that the Premier had left to Kakumiro District a head of NRM anniversary slated on 06.Feb.2023.

In December 2nd 2022 letter, the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Health, Dr.Diana Atwine wrote deactivating the services to the facility and directing that the Medical supplies to the facility be distributed to other government health facilities in Kasese district and Municipality.
Similarly, On January 10th 2023, the Obusinga Bwa-Rwenzururu Premier, Rt.Hon. Joseph Kule Muranga had written to the Uganda’s premier about the reactivation of Kilembe Mines hospital essential drugs and medical supplies.
Hon Ferigo called for calm now that the Premier has written to Ministry of Health over the matter.END.
