Ms Irene Musoki, a midwife at Kasese Municipal Health Center three in Kasese district has warned expectant mothers against relying on Traditional Birth Attendants whose service were halted by government over limited expertise.

Ms Irene who asked pregnant mothers to reach head facilities in time for their safety, said TBAs have nothing to offer in circumstances that a mother and her baby required specialized medical attention.
Earlier, the soft speaking medic advised expectant mothers to timely turn up for antenatal shifts for timely medical guidance.
Meanwhile, Kithulha Care Initiatives has donated over 5,000 Mama Kits to expectant mothers in Kasese Municipality.
The Organization yesterday delivered some Mama Kits to expectant mothers in Saluti B cell, in the company of Mr. Francis Mugisa Kithulha, the Executive Director and a VHT member, Ms. Janet Mbambu, who advised them about proper medication.
