Mr. Chance Kahindo, the Kasese Municipal Mayor has called for more consciousness by the local community members, especially parents, in the way they care for their children now that the wet season has begun.
In an interview with our reporter at his office in Kasese municipality this morning, Mr. Chance who asked the locals in disaster prone areas to temporarily relocate to safer areas before it’s too late, warned that Kasese Municipality was not exceptional from Kampala and recently Kinshasa where dozens died in the flooding cities.
He later asked the local residents to alert relevant offices for help in situations that many turn deadly over floods. Mr. Chance speaking……
The local artist turned politician had earlier warned the public against drug abuse, alcoholism and attempts to cross water bodies in the dark. END
