A thirty four old one Mr. Mumbere is reported to have survived lynching by a mob for reportedly stealing a sack of cassava flour in Rwembyo village-Kisinga subcounty in Kasese district.
According to Mr. Emmanuel Kasenya, the area local council one chairperson confirmed to our reporter that the suspect was caught sourcing for buyers of a sack of cassava flour after whistle blowers tipped the interested parties that Mumbere was a notorious thief.
According to Mr. Kasenya, it took the local leaders long to explain to the angry mob to save Mr. Mumbere who could not satisfy the community that he had got a sack of cassava flour from Busunga, a village in Lake Katwe subcounty well known for cattle keeping and not cultivation.
