High Court at Kasese has set free Mr. Paul Kiwanuka on a murder case after prosecution could not give satisfactory evidence.
Court presided over by Hon. Justice David Makumbi, heard that on 6th May 2019 while in Kikonzo two cell in Hima town council in Kasese district, Mr. Kiwanuka and others, murdered the late Muhammad Nkwana for stealing items belonging to a bar maid.
In his ruling, Hon. Justice Makumbi concluded that the evidence by the state witnesses did not place and prove that the accused was at the scene of crime at the time, thus, setting Mr. Kiwanuka free, according to the Defence Counsel, Mr. Luke Kanyonyi from Kanyonyi and co. advocates.
