Kagadi police have launched a manhunt for a man accused of murdering the Kinoni Village LC 1 Chairperson in Kamuroza Sub County.
One Mr. David Tomanya is wanted for killing 55-year-old Johnson Mwanga, a resident of Kinoni village.
It is alleged that Mwanga picked up a quarrel with Tomanya at a local bar in Kinoni trading center on March 21, 2021 and the suspect reportedly picked a beer bottle and hit the deceased on the forehead
Mr. Mwanga later was rushed to Kagadi General Hospital where he was pronounced dead on Sunday evening. Mr. Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson said that after receiving information about Mwanga’s death Tomanya fled into hiding and that police has kept guarding the suspect`s family that is under threat as investigations go on.
