Sam Tumusiime 43, a resident of Nyabusojo village, Kabasekende Sub County of Kibaale district has committed suicide by hanging after beheading his stepson.
Police indicates that Tumusiime last night developed a misunderstanding with his wife Joan Kyalimpa 20 for unknown reasons that later escalated into physical fight.
He reportedly hacked Kyalimpa severally on the head and face living her in coma. Tumusiime later picked a panga and beheaded his four-year-old stepson identified as Derick Alitujuna. He then fled his home and went into hiding, but later committed suicide.
In other news; Up to 200 US troops already based in the Middle East will be moved to Israel to help monitor the ceasefire in Gaza, according to US officials.
The US military will establish a multinational taskforce in Israel, known as a civil-military coordination centre, which is likely to include troops from Egypt, Qatar, Turkey and the UAE, they said. End
