Police in Kagadi District are hunting for a 28-year-old man for allegedly beheading his 2-year-old son.
The suspect has been identified as Kusemererwa Tusiime, a resident of Nyangereka A cell, Kyomukama Ward in Kagadi Town council while the deceased child is Tusiime Mutegeki.
The gruesome murder happened on Monday morning around 10 a.m.
According to Omuhereza Mbabazi Kusemererwa, the suspect’s own mother, she had taken her grandson to Kagadi Hospital and left the other children with Tusiime at home.
She says she was alerted by area residents while still at the hospital that Tusiime had beheaded his own child.
She reportedly rushed home only to find her grandson lying dead in a pool of blood as Tusiime had already fled the crime scene.

She says recently Tusiime separated with his wife after a domestic brawl saying that this situation could have compelled him to kill his son.
Omuhereza Kyamanywa, the area LCI Chairperson has condemned the act saying it is the first of its kind in his area.
