Police in Ibanda District are investigating a case of attempted murder that almost claimed the life of Joseph Ahimbisibwe 42 who was sleeping in his lover’s house on Thursday night in Bukuuto 1 cell, Kigarama ward, Bisheshe Division, Ibanda district.
According to SP Samson Kasasira the Rwizi Region Police Spokesperson, the victim was attacked by Mr. Crescent Tindyebwa who alleges that Mr. Ahimbisibwe was in bed sleeping with Annet Kyarisiima, his mother.
Upon knocking and entering the house, the suspect went directly to the mother’s bedroom while armed with a machete and cut the victim on the left leg and scrotum exposing his testicles. SP Kasasira narrates that during the altercation, the mother grabbed the suspect, enabling the victim to escape to his home where he called his friend Patrick Busingye who took him to Ruhoko Health Center IV for treatment.
