Police in Kyondo Sub County Kasese district is holding a 28 year old man on allegation of harvesting unripe coffee from his garden.
The Police spokesperson for Rwenzori East region, ASP Nelson Tumusiime confirmed the information and identified the suspect as, Mr. Johnson Isingoma a resident of Kaghorwe village in Kyondo Sub County.
Mr. Juvenile Muke, the Chairperson LC 3 Kyondo sub county told our reporter in a separate interview that the suspect in custody is to act as an example to the community after several warnings to farmers.

Mr. Juvenile, said farmers engaged in picking unripe coffee not only affect coffee prices but also compromise quality both at National and international level.
Mr. Juvenile who called for collaborated effort among the community members to have more suspects arrested cautioned coffee buyers to borrow a leaf from Isingoma. END.
