A 38 year old man in Kasese Municipality reportedly burnt house property belonging to his new lover he suspected to have cohabited with another man, Kasese Guide Radio has learnt.
Police spokesperson for Rwenzori East Region, ASP Nelson Tumushime confirmed the incident and identified the suspect as one Mr. Uziah Muheka and the victim as Ms Joviah Masoki, both local residents of Kidodo cell in Kasese Municipality.
Mr. Shariff Geoffrey, the area local council one Chairperson said the suspect who is currently under custody at Railway Police station acted in revenge against Ms Jovia who denounced their relationship prematurely earlier yesterday. Mr. Shariff speaking……….
Ms. Jovia Musoki later told this radio that her decision to pull out of the relationship wasn’t regrettable to her and bases on an informed background, insisting that the suspect compensates for her burnt property or he be arraigned before court. Ms. Jovia speaking……
An ex-lover to the suspect, Ms Annah Mbambu said it was Joviah who forced an end to their love, before describing Mr. Uziah as a quarrelsome man. END.
