Residents of Maliba sub-county in Kasese district have commended the Ministry of Water and Environment for allocating funds towards extending clean and safe water in Isule-Kateebe-Nyangorongo and Bikone villages.
Last year, the ministry of Water and Environment launched the project of constructing a gravity water flow scheme in greater Maliba worthy, 9.5 billion shillings to support over 43,000 people.

The project funded by the government of Uganda with support from Indian Exim Bank now at 48% will draw water on Rivers Kitakena and Hima with each supplying 1.7 and 1.1 million litres per day.
