Mr. Yosia Baluku, the Coordinator for Rwenzori Consortium for Civic Competence (RWECO), has called for peaceful living among married couples he asked to allow their spouses choose political leaders of their choices.
He also asked political players especially in the ongoing NRM primary elections and the just concluded FDC vetting, to maintain peace by amicably resolving any frictions that could have occurred during the voting processes.
Addressing a media conference at RWECO offices in Kahokya cell in Kirembe Ward in Kasese municipality yesterday, Mr Yosia regretted the reported delays by the district tally centre to announce the results, thereby creating suspicions among a section of voters he asked to maintain peace.
Mr. Yosia who asked spouses not to force their partners for particular political candidates, was concerned about some parents who have been overtaken by the ongoing political campaigns, thus, forgetting their roles as family heads. Mr. Yosia speaking……
Earlier,Mr. Obed Kule, the coordinator for Good Hope Foundation for Rural development, who warned political contestants against making decisions under anger, asked the Kasese NRM leaders to listen to the aggrieved parties whose concerns need to be listened to, to reach an informed poll result decisions. He also argued the local community members against boycotting any elections, saying that this frustrates their right to choose the leaders of their choice. END
