There was excitement by the local residents of Kihalimu-Kyaminyoku cell as Mr. Douglass Saturday, the Executive Director for Madaraka Cares officially toured and handed over the temporary foot Bridge he had funded to ease communication in the area.
Whereas the project had been initiated by the local residents led by the area local council one chairperson Mr. Hamada Njima, Madaraka Cares funded the purchase of all construction materials and some minor technical labor.
To the local community members, Mr. Douglas and his Madaraka Cares were God sent to have the simple beam bridge that will not only connect the cell to Katadoba but will save them from walking long distances Via KCCL to the Municipal center, and guarantee their safety from thieves as well.
