It was all jubilation by the local residents of Katiri cell, Bulembia division in Kasese municipality as they received from Madaraka Cares, five roles of water pipes and a water harvester meant to tap clean and safe water from the neighboring water sources.
Speaking to the media during a communal work in Katiri cell, Mr. Kesi Kikenge, the area local council one chairperson and Ms Jane Muhindo Mumbahya, Mr. Adrian Bwambale and John Siringahwa like many local residents, the donation by Mr. Jophes Saturday Madaraka, the Executive Director for Madaraka Cares, was what they called a Xmas gift against the copper contaminated water that has been a source of diseases.
They said the new water project by Madaraka Cares, would benefit the surrounding communities including Kilembe valley primary school, Mt. Rwenzori girls secondary school, market goers and the local community as well. Mr. Kikenge speaking……..
To Mr. Ray Robert Musinguzi, the programs officer said, whereas the community projects by Mr. Saturday Madaraka were costly, the good health of the locals is his priority. END
