The National Resistance Movement Presidential Candidate, General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has announced plans to recruit more than 1,400 health inspectors for Health Centre IIIs across the country to curb drug theft in government hospitals.
Addressing supporters at Pabo Primary School playgrounds in Amuru District, Museveni said his government has already fulfilled its promises on drug supply and the construction of health facilities but still faces challenges with theft. He also warned corrupt public school administrators who continue to charge fees under the Universal Education Programme, saying the NRM government introduced free education and expects it to be implemented as designed.
