    M23 movement rebels have released 3 Congolese soldiers

    Three Congolese soldiers reportedly captured by the March 23 Movement rebels during the recent clashes in Rutshuru Territory, North Kivu province have been released, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross.

    Rachel Bernhard, the head of the ICRC’s delegation in DR Congo yesterday released a short statement in a tweet confirming the release of the three soldiers through their facilitation. Bernard said that the soldiers were handed over to the FARDC command. END
