    Lt. Col. Bagenda calls upon educated young ladies to join UPDF

    Lt. Col. Israel Bagenda Kaheru, the Commandant of the fifth mountain battalion based in Rusese in Mpondwe Lhubiriha town council in Kasese district has encouraged educated young ladies to join the Uganda People`s Defence Forces and defend Uganda.

    Addressing the local resident of Kinyamaseke town council at the end of the army week over the weekend, Lt. Col. Kaheru called for a mindset change among the Kasese people so as to have more ladies in the army who must constitute 30% of every recruitment.

    Using Libya as an example, Lt. Col. Kaheru warned the locals against some people who may want to sabotage the current peace for selfish ends.

    He reminded Ugandans that current freedom and peace in the country did not come on a silver plate but people suffered and continue sacrificing for it. Lt. Col Kaheru speaking ……..

    Col. Kaheru calls for consolidated local community pressures against planners of subversive acts whose consequences badly affect the common person. END
