Ms Jovia Mbambu, the Kasese district tourism officer has described tourism as gold that the locals in Kasese should invest in.
Speaking to Kasese guide Radio yesterday, two day after the closure of the Rwenzori Thelujji Festivals and cultural performances at Rwenzori Square in Kasese municipality, Ms Jovia asked the locals to invest in activities that would attract tourists and earn for improved household incomes.
Ms Jovia, later called for more sensitization gatherings by knowledgeable individuals to prepare the Kasese people for more activities related to tourism in future. Ms Jovia speaking……….
On the final day of the activities before, Ms Nachricht Von, a tourist from Germany commended government for the security before asking the local community to make use of the annual tourism festivals by interesting their families with their cultures. Ms Von speaking…..
Ms Von who commended Ugandans for being hospitable, called for love for one another and hard workif they were to live peacefully and develop. END
