The Lira City Town Clerk, Theophilus Tibihika has perished in a road crash along the Lira- Apac road.
Tibihika met his death on Monday morning when his Toyota Hilux double cabin pickup number UAM 450V overturned along the Lira- Apac road in Akalo in Kole District.
Although the cause of the crash is yet to be established, locals say the vehicle lost control and overturned multiple times.
He was reportedly on his way to Kampala through the Masindi Port Ferry.
Lira City Mayor Sam Atul confirmed the news describing it as a big blow to the city and the entire Lango region.
Late Tibihika has served in Kasese Municipality and Fort portal City.
