Vandalism on electric power installations is a big challenges to the energy sector, Ms. Jane Birungi, the Executive Director for Kilembe Investments limited has said.
In an interview with Kasese Guide Radio yesterday, Ms. Jane who said vandalism on electric power installation was a countrywide challenge added that the vise like elsewhere in Uganda, was giving hard time to her office and their contractors who incur extra-costs to fulfill their obligations.
She however said they had formed consumer groups who together with the local leaders collaborate with her office against vandalism and other related challenges that may frustrate service delivery to their customers. Ms. Jane speaking1…….

Ms. Jane was concerned that whereas the demand for power was high among the community members, it does not tally with the capital investment required and the anticipated monthly returns expected by Kilembe Investments Limited from their local clients who only consume power for subsistence.
