Government funding under the Parish Development Model initiative should be a driving factor for education promotion among community members.
Mr. Richard Bomera, the local council three chairperson for Bulembia Division in Kasese Municipality said education of their children should be at the fingertips of the PDM beneficiaries if the area was to develop.
Mr. Bomera who was addressing mourners in Namuhuga in his division, described education as a major driving tool against perpetual poverty, minor land conflicts among family members, witchcraft, theft, street kidding and early marriages but a God fearing, informed and developmental community that the PDM beneficiaries and the whole community should work to achieve. Mr. Bomera speaking……
Mr. Pascal Magambo, the vice chairperson for Namuhunga North-east cell who encouraged informal education and family meetings, called for positive parenting that would translate into nurturing focused and responsible children. Mr. Magambo speaking…….
He also called for hard work against alcoholism and laziness among the locals. END
