Dr. Rajab Kalid, a lecturer at Makerere University College of Health Sciences, has called for deliberate plans aimed at involving the youth into measures for climate change mitigation and adaptation in the country.
Addressing the media shortly after a disaster research engagement at Verina Gardens in Kasese Municipality yesterday, Dr. Rajab was concerned that the youth, the future leaders who are the biggest population ratio, were less involved in mitigation and adaption measures, including participatory and inspirational interventions that involve among others; publicizing success stories against disasters despite the current funding by government and her development partners.
