The local council three chairperson for Bugoye subcounty in Kasese District, Mr. James Katalikawa has commended the government of Uganda for her move to establish police posts at all subcounty headquarters all over the country.
The subcounty policing model was adopted from a security strategic guideline by President Museveni who thought the Police forces must not cleave officers to Kampala city and big town but to villages as well to deal with community needs as a Uganda Police Force.
Speaking to our reporter at his office yesterday, Mr. Katalikawa described the move as a relief in community policing and neutralizing crime whose perpetuators will be dealt with through the intensified police patrols and reports from the community he asked to collaborate with the forces.
