Mr. Selevest Mapoze, the local council three chairperson for Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council in Kasese district has described as mere fabrications the reports that his technical team led by town clerk mismanaged about 59 Million shillings.
Ms Alice Bwambale, the town clerk was recently part of the eight civil servants in Kasese that were arrested and detained for alleged corruption.

When asked why state Anti-corruption unit arrested his civil servants, Mr. Mapoze said the unit wanted explanation on why they borrowed from Discretionary Development Equalization Grant, a condition grant from central government.
He said the borrowed monies had already been refunded to her vote and that his town council was clean of any form of corruption as it had bee perceived. Mr. Mapoze speaking………
