Mr. Erifaz Muhindi, the Kasese district chairperson says plans are being finalized by the office of the Prime Minister to permanently settle the Internally Displaced People encamped in Muhokya town council after the recent fact finding tour in the district by land technocrats from central government.
In his end of year message to the press in Verina gardens yesterday, Mr. Muhindi who blames the office of the Prime Minister for failing to involve his office in the alleged controversial land procurement for IDPs, said land surveyors and procurement experts from government were recently sent on ground over the matter and that they were to give response on the next course of action by the end of January 2025.
