Mr. Emmanuel Katuramu, the chairperson local council one for Kyondo cell in Nyamwamba Division Kasese Municipality has decried the raid of wild beasts on crop gardens in the area.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio yesterday at his office, Katuramu demanded that the government should urgently intervene to save the situation.
According to him, elephants have destroyed hectares of food crops in the area living farmers on the mercy of God for survival.
He asked Uganda Wildlife Authority to compensate them for crops destroyed, lives lost, and injuries inflicted on some of the community members by the wild animals. Mr. Emmanuel speaking…..
