    The Kasese Diocesan Vicar General Msgr. Landaus Bwambale, the Vicar General of the Diocese of Kasese has described the Late Fr. Joseph Matata as a typical representation of the Biblical Job who despite his prolonged sickness did not curse God.

    In his homily while presiding over Requiem Mass at Kasanga Parish yesterday, Msgr Landaus who also described the deceased as a practical man of faith, asked the Christians to emulate him for being a committed to his Church work, joyful and friendly. Msgr Landus speaking …….

    Thatha Asasio Kamalha Buhaka who was ordained the same day with the deceased at Kasanga Parish by the Bishop of Fort Portal Diocese where Kasese lied then, Late Rt. Rev. Cyprian Magambo said the Late Fr. Matata was a celebrated motor rider and a mechanic who loved servicing God. Thatha Kamalha speaking ……..

    The Bukonzo county West MP, Hon. Godfrey Katusabe sympathized with the bereaved family and the entire Catholic Church before calling for contributions to the sendoff of the late Fr. Matata now that he had died few months of Churches operations that had been banned for two years over the COVID-19 threats. Hon. Katusabe speaking ……..

    The diocese chairperson Laity, Mr. Leo Thembo asked all heads of laity at Parish Levels to mobilize Christians to raise funds, before describing the late Matata as a pillars that the diocese had missed.

    The deceased will be laid to rest at Kasanga Parish at 12pm. END
