Alliance for Children and Youth-Uganda, a Civil Society Organization based in Kasese district has donated an assortment of food and nonfood relief items to the landslide victims currently encamped at Nyambuku Primary School in Ibanda-Kyanya Town Council Kasese district.
On May 04, a heavy downpour befell most parts of Kasese district, causing landslides and floods that displaced many people among them 442 people from 83 households currently staying in Nyambuku Primary School.

Yesterday, a delegation from Alliance for Children and Youth led by Jovia Kabugho, the Organization’s Director visited the victims and delivered the relief items including cassava flour, maize flour, beans, ground nuts, soap, saucepans, tapelines, basins, jerry cans, clothes and books, mathematical sets and pens among others for school going children.
While handing over the donation, Ms. Kabugho who sympathized with the victims asked them to stay calm for God was in control but also get minded of their hygiene. Ms. Kabugho speaking……………
Ms Catherine Nakasinde, the Chairperson for the Western Uganda Humanitarian Platform advised the people in the camp to protect and prioritize good parenting especially for the girl children against early marriages and teenage pregnancies. Ms. Nakasinde speaking……..
