    Landslide toll death cases in Kasese rises to eight.

    The death toll for people suspected to have died as a result of river flooding and landslides in Kasese district has reached eight.

    The Kasese district Chairperson Mr. Geoffrey Bigogo while addressing hundreds of his supporters today at Kasenyi trading center in Buhuhira sub-county who had come to search for the dead bodies asked those staying in disaster prone areas to shift temporarily during this rainy season.

    Mr. Bigogo said he has notified the office of the prime minister about the occurrences and soon will submit a formal report.

    Out of eight people six have been retrieved incuding, Precious Ithungu, Geoffrey Mbusa, Lordrick Kiiza and Mutasagha Kapambu while two others have not been identified.

    The area MP.Hon.Nzoghu William who sympathized with the grieved families attributed the disasters to heavy rain pour that needs urgent intervention. Hon.Nzoghu speaking…………

    A survivor from Buhuhira sub county Mr. Moses Kiringaki told our reporter that he survived narrowly after he tried to rescue his family, members that were allegedly swept away by River Kuruhe.Mr.Moses speaking……

    A seventy four year old man whose two grandchildren with his last born died inside his house Mzee Yofesi Sibulire Thembo testified to our reporter that death robbed his children unawares. Mzee Yofesi ………
