The legal Process for Release of Rwenzururu King His Majesty Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma and other suspects of the 2016 attacks on the Obuhikira palace in Kasese has greatly been delayed by lack of funds, the Kingdom Premier, Rt. Hon. Joseph Muranga Kule has said.
Speaking to Kasese Guide radio yesterday(31th.May.2021), Rt. Hon. Muranga who hailed the Kasese district local government and individuals like Mzee Costa Bwambale, the Executive Director for Bakwanye trading company for the support was quick to say that the Rwenzururu subjects only want to see the King released but not willing to fund the process.
Mr. Muranga called for financial support to fund the legal process that would see the Omusinga and other suspects attain total freedom.
Rt. Hon. Muranga speaking1………
He was however hopeful that the legal process would soon bare more fruits, save for the a few individuals whose evidence against their acts seems overwhelming. Rt. Hon. Muranga speaking2…………
Earlier, a former suspect, Mr. Zephanous Thembo Syauswa who called for continued government support indicated however that some of their colleagues released early this year had had challenges with their wives, some of who had been taken overrun by selfish men.
Mr. Zephanus speaking…….
Over one hundred suspects of the attack were released in January this year. END.
