Water scarcity, understaffing and inadequate desks has become pressing issues in primary schools in Kyondo sub-county in Kasese district.
The Local Council three chairperson, Mr. Juvenile Muke presented the concerns to Kasese District Assistant RDC Mr. Tsongo Tien on Wednesday in his report shortly after commissioning the construction of two classroom block at Kyondo Primary school.
He said challenges in primary schools of Bughungu, Bulighitsa and Kyondo are similar, therefore calling for guided plans by the District Education Officer for a lasting solution. Mr. Juvenile speaking….
According to him, concerns disrupts studies and particularly affects the hygiene of girls, especially during menstruation.
Mr. Jocknus Bwambale the Head teacher Kyondo Primary school, told the Assistant RDC that at least 700 pupils reportedly share three stance -Pit latrines with teachers, a situation he described as unhygienic.
