Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has said he would cater for the elderly economically and treat them with respect.

Addressing a huge crowd that turned up for his maiden rally in Pakwach town on Tuesday morning and later in Arua, Mr Robert Kyagulanyi said he was saddened when he saw some of the elderly in Pakwach walking barefooted due to poverty.

He says his government will treat elders with care saying they would not be there if there was no elders and that one day, they will all be elders too.

Mr Kyagulanyi’s campaign was largely peaceful except for the excited youths who kept chanting his name instead of listening to his message.

On the revival of the railway lines, Mr Kyagulanyi said: “Once upon a time, there was a railway line that came to Pakwach, but now it is destroyed. In the new leadership, he says he shall restore the railway lines.

He also emphasized that he will increase the salaries of soldiers and also ensure that their children get free education.

Mr Kyagulanyi proceeded to Nebbi after his rally in Pakwach before he ended the day by holding another rally in Arua City. ENDS
