The National Unity Platform presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi, criticized the Electoral Commission Chairperson, Justice Simon Byabakama, for keeping quiet about several attacks by security at his campaign rallies and trials.
Kyagulanyi said this yesterday shortly after his convoy was blocked by the police along the Mbarara- Ibanda Road as he headed to Mbarara District for his final rally at Rubindi playground. One hundred of his supporters and his press team were arrested and others injured.
Kyagulanyi, who had just finished his rally at Mbarara High School Playground in Kiyanja, Mbarara City, found a roadblock a few miles after Nyakisharara.
