Residents of Kyababinga Cell in Kasese Municipality have threatened to hold a peaceful demonstration on Monday over the continued lack of access to clean and safe water.
According to Mr. Vincent Sahukira, the Chairperson of Kyababinga Trading Centre, the protesters plan to march with placards to the office of the Kasese Resident District Commissioner in Kasese Town.
They are demanding that National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) repair the broken water pipes in their area.

Recently, the Rwenzori East Region Police spokesperson, SP. Nelson Tumusime, warned the public against holding demonstrations without prior authorization from the police.

That area is the municipality of kasese why didn’t the government consider the people of that area am also a citizen it’s very true our area have a problem of water
