Kasese Municipal Agricultural Officer, Mr. Sanairi Bukanywa has underscored the need of empowering farmers in soil- water conservation and sensitization on integrated pest and weed control in order to realize good harvest this season.
He made the remarks this morning while handing over farm tools to Kihara Women and Men united group in Kihara cell Nyamwamba division Kasese Municipality, donated by LEAF two project under Multinational lakes Edward and Albert integrated fisheries and water resource management.
According to Bukanywa, the practice will provide alternative livelihood for food security and sustainable income in their families.

The Chairperson Kihara Women and men united group Mr. Jackson Mbene hailed partners in development for providing gum boats , pesticide’s , hoes and Fifty caliandra trees seedlings among others to the group.
