The Kasese district Engineer together with a contractor of the AK David and Fiends contractors have reportedly been arrested and detained at Kasese central police station on allegations of mismanaging funds for the construction of Nyakimasa and Isango health centers in Bwera and Isango sub counties respectively in Kasese district.
The Kasese Deputy RDC, Mr. Joshua Masereka confirmed the information and identified the suspects as Eng. Richard Bwambale with a yet to be identified AK David and friends` contractors ltd representative.
Mr. Joshua said that their decision to it all started when the office of the Kasese Chief Administrative office could not present to him the suspects as required after about ninety percent of the construction works was paid to the contractor but less work done. Mr. Joshua speaking1………
Mr. Joshua who had no kind words to the district leadership wondered how the district executive received fuel to monitor but kept silent about the same construction works that was not done to the required levels.
