The leadership of Kitswamba Town Council in Kasese District has today donated twelve desks worth three million shillings to Kitswamba SDA Primary School in a move aimed at boosting education.
The desks were handed over by the Sub-County Local Council three Chairperson, Mr. John Monday Wakighoma, to the head teacher, Mr. Emmanuel Baluku.
The handover ceremony was witnessed by representatives of the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) at the school premises.
Mr. Wakighoma, who is also the Member of Parliament Hopeful for Busongora County North, advised learners to focus on their education and to avoid immoral behavior and unnecessary visits to relatives and friends during the holiday, noting that such distractions could jeopardize their academic future. He also appealed to the District Education Department and other well-wishers to provide additional desks to support the learners.
