Kithulha Cares initiative has donated thirty bags of cassava cuttings to Kirembe cell farmers in Kasese Municipality to boost food security.
Kasese Municipal Agricultural Officer Mr. Asanayiri Bukanywa said the cassava cuttings one of the new variety takes between five to seven months to harvest.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio shortly after supplying cassava cuttings to the benefitriaries on Monday, Bukanywa said the improved variety called Sreelatha is weather friendly and meant for food security at household level. Mr. Bukanywa speaking….
Bukanywa hailed the Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku for partnering with Kithulha cares initiative in promoting food security.
Mr. Isaac Bwambale, a Christian at St. Thomas Church of Uganda implored other Christians to own the program which he said will help in future to afford funds to support the development projects of the church.
