Mr. Pauline Bwambale, the local council three chairperson for Kilembe Sub County in Kasese district has expressed concern over shortage of teachers in Government aided Primary schools, which is affecting performance of learners.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio today in Kasese town, Pauline said almost Primary schools in Kilembe sub-county are stuck with inadequate staffing, and some teachers are forced to teach more than one class.
According to him, the Primary schools of Bulime, Kibandama, Kyambogho, Bughatha and Nganje have staffing of six to seven teachers compared to the overwhelming number of learners.
Mr. Pauline speaking…….
Some schools have plans of hiring teachers, but fear the challenge of paying their salaries, as some parents refuse to contribute money to facilitate their children’s education insisting that education is free in government schools. END.
