The local leaders in Ibanda-Kyanya town council has called for general repairs on the Kilembe Mines hydroelectric power water basin feeder channels that have paused a risk to life and property in the area.
Mr. Modest Bwambale, the Ibanda-Kyanya local council three chairperson said for the water channel feeding the electric power station to break twice in less than a month, is a total risk that Kilembe Mines limited must urgently deal with.
Whereas no comment yet from Kilembe Mines Limited, Mr. Modest who said crops in Nyakalingijo areas had been destroyed by the waters, suspects the channel could have run weak fifty years after its construction by the Canadians formerly in charge of copper mining in Kilembe. Mr. Modesto speaking1……..
