Police is investigating circumstances into the alleged theft of metallic water pipes belonging to Kasese Cobalt Co. ltd in Basecamp upper cell in Kasese Municipality.
Police spokesperson for Rwenzori East Region, SP Nelson Tumushiime confirmed that Mr. David Masereka, the defense secretary for base camp upper and one Mr. Rama, a local resident of the neighbouring Basecamp lower were in police custody over the same incident.
