Taxi drivers at Kasese Taxi Park are in fear of being affected by Covid-19 should the district task force fail to work with their Management to enforce the closure of unwanted outlets for proper implementation of the health guidelines.
Speaking to our reporter at Kasese Taxi Park in Kasese town today, the chairperson Kasese-Bwera taxi Stage, Mr. Robert Ray Musinguzi said despite the presidential directive and guideline on public transport, drivers have faced many challenges, including passengers who either decline to, give wrong information or refuse to wash hands among others, the situation that is risking the lives of road users and the community.
He said that there was need for close collaboration of the district task force, taxi park management and Kasese Municipal leadership in ensuring that the technical guidelines are followed, including closing the porous entries into the taxi park. Mr. Musinguzi speaking 1 ……
