Kasese Chief Magistrate’s court has remanded the head teacher Kasese Primary school, Mr. Remegio Thembo Ikwera to Mubuku government prison until 3rd August 2023 for ruling on his bail application.
Court Presided over by her worship Ajok Betty heard that, Remegio unlawfully chased UPE learners at Kasese primary school this term over school dues, which is contrary to universal Primary education guidelines.
Senior state Attorney Counsel Oundo Godfrey made no objection to the bail application and the Sureties presented by the legal team representing Mr. Ikwera Thembo Remegio but in vain.
Counsel Mishele Geoffrey from Bagenda and Co. advocates, lawyer for Ikwera presented sureties seeking court to consider his bail application over poor health of his client after cross examination with the first witness who is the Kasese Resident district commissioner Lt.
