At least 200 Pentecostal church pastors from across Kasese District have undergone a one day training aimed at sensitizing the Public to uphold peace and unity during the 2026 General Elections.
Dr. Bishop Joshua Lwere, the former General Overseer of the National Fellowship of Born-Again Pentecostal Churches, addressed the pastors at Kasese Pentecostal Church in Kasese Town yesterday noting that both the pre-election and post-election periods in Uganda have often been marked by the loss of lives and destruction of property.
Dr. Lwere, urged pastors to integrate messages of Peace and Unity into their sermons, encouraging voters to remain vigilant and peaceful throughout the electoral process. Dr. Lwere speaking….
Bishop Stephen Nsibambi, an Elder of the National Fellowship and the National Overseer for Life of the Messenger Churches, said the church is currently focused on spiritually reviving Pentecostal pastors in preparation for the upcoming elections.
He called for a strong collaboration between the public and police to ensure peace and security throughout the election period. Bishop Nsibambi, also stressed that leaders are chosen by God, and that the public should support the democratic process peacefully. END
