Five people said to be members of National Unity platform have been remanded until 1st, December, 2021 for hearing of their case, Kasese guide radio has learnt.
Delivering judgment on the bail application during court sitting at Kasese Chief Magistrate`s court, His Worship Jude Okumu Muwone denied them bail after State Prosecution prayed for more time to allow him amend the charge sheet.
The Five suspects remanded to Mubuku prison are; Mr. Brian Basisa, Isaac Baluku and Mr. Oniz Kule, all residents of Kasese district, and Mr. Geoffrey Bwambale and Atanazio Esunday from Ntoroko district.
According to charge sheet, the five were arrested in Kilembe Quarters in Kasese Municipality for alleged subversive acts.
A seemingly stressed Council Emmanuel Kironde from Kikomeko and Co. Advocates representing the suspects, the prayers by the State prosecutor could be targeting amendment of the charge sheet with a heavier case to convict his clients. Counsel Kironde speaking1….
