Over six hundred cases of teenage pregnancies are reportedly registered in Kasese Municipality, something that has resulted into soaring figures of early child marriages, the Kasese Municipal senior Community Development Officer, Mr. Wilson Lhughabwe, has revealed.
Speaking to our reporter yesterday in Kasese town, Lhughabwe acknowledged that they have remained committed to their core values of addressing pertinent issues of teenage pregnancy, sexual and gender based violence, prevention of HIV-AIDS, drug and subsistence abuse within young people.
Cases of teenage pregnancies are recorded in health centre threes of Kasese Municipal, Railway and Rukoki health centre four among others.
