    Kasese Municipality has no enough land that can be given out to accommodate the recently internally displaced people over floods, the Kasese Municipal Mayor, His Worship Godfrey Kabyanga has said.

    Addressing hundreds of displaced people at Masule primary school camp in Bulembia Division yesterday, Mayor Kabyanga who sympathized with the displaced people emphasized tree planting before assuring them that the Municipality was short of land but that they should time and gain avoid placed that are a soft landing for floods.     He later called for more consciousness about the deadly Corona virus, citing an example of the people currently in the quarantine, including suspected commercial sex workers who reportedly got in contact with two different truck drivers in Kasese that later tested positive.  Mayor Kabyanga speaking2……

    Earlier in the same address, Mr. Kabyanga described as loose talk, statements by some politicians and members of public suggesting that Kilembe Mines hospital has been relocated permanently to her new location.

    He regretted the reports by people he said cannot recollect that Bishop Kibira`s decision to temporarily locate the health facility to St Michael Kindergarten school site in Kasese town was basically to protect the Vital equipments some of which had been swept away three times by the floods.

    The Mayor who was thumbs up to the Bishop of Kasese said that a better location was being thought of for permanent relocate Kilembe hospital that gives specialized bone operation services to Kasese people and beyond. Mayor Kabyanga 1………

    The Bulembia division GISO in Kasese Municipality, Mr. Peter Mbunda regretted that some local people were turning into beasts by stealing the contractors` equipment as well as domestic items including animals and birds. Mr. Peter Mbunda ………

    The team leader for Masule camp Mr. William Bahati who hailed the mayor for the visit and regretted the loose talk by some people still safe in the hilly areas who have began associating the relief food to politics than realizing the reason for the donation. END.
