Meanwhile, River Nyamwamba forced Kasese Municipality residents into more fears when the deadly water stream burst parts of her banks in some cells; destroying property mainly crops.
Mr. Godfrey Baluku, a local resident of Congo quarters who was brewing local beer, said he and other family members flee for their dear lives as water volumes unexpectedly increased.
He wasn’t sure of his future survival over the losses incurred after floods interrupted the brewing process he said had affected his local beer.

Our reporter was however scared that the influx of the children reportedly waiting to pick floating fish from the flooded fish ponds along the river, could turn fatal if parents and guardians don’t intervene in time. By press time the floods were still a threat in some parts of Kasese town, mainly Saluti, Kamulikwizi, Mumbuzi and Kanyangeya. END

But majorly, people should take note that whenever it clocks to may, its rainy season therefore especially those near Riverside should always take care of themselves and avoid unnecessary movement along the river Nyamwamba. Thank you
